Caffeine and Machines

After the success of last years inaugural car show we’re holding another one for 2018.

It’s going to be held on Bank Holiday Monday 28th May at 10:00 – 13:00.

We’ve seen some interesting vehicles going about Vinters on a regular basis but we’ve got no idea if their owners actually live on the estate or not or they just happen to be passing though/visiting.   So with this in mind, we’re keen to see what lurks in your garage under that dust sheet and it’ll give you a chance to polish it up and take it along for a chat with like minded folks.

We’ve opened it up this year to cover all modes of transport, so if you’ve got a motorbike, car or even a tractor hidden in your garage fill in the application form.  If you know your neighbour has something hidden away; do let them know about this event.

As you’re more than aware, the car park at the community centre is very small which limits  how many vehicles we’re likely to get parked up.   Judging by last years entry list it’ll be an eclectic mix of vehicles from the 30’s right through to the 2010’s.   Last years photos can be found here

We will be looking for a small donation to enter your vehicle (£5) which we’ll collect on the day which will go towards the upkeep of the community centre, but like last year, for that’ll get you two cups of coffee / tea and some biscuits.

These are only going to be vehicles from owners who actually live on the estate so to quote League of Gentlemen – this is a local show for local people.

We’d also like to make it clear that this is a coffee and a chat kind of event; none of your wheel spins, loud revving of engines or any other anti-social kind of stuff.

Of course; teas and coffee’s and probably the odd biscuit will be available from the community centre.

The application form can be found here.  Application Form   Entries will be closed late April and we will notify all successful entrants (remember we have limited space, so if we get oversubscribed we’ll sadly have to make a decision on who’s in and who’s out.  Please don’t be offended).

If you have any questions – please drop us an email here :  machines@vinterspark.org.uk

We look forward to seeing you on the day.

Regards

Craig, John & Tony.
